Job Description:
Job Summary:We're looking for a results-driven District Sales
Representative to actively promote the company's products, as well
as build and maintain relationships with existing and new
customers. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for
every customer to achieve their success while achieving sales and
profit goals established by the company.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new
accounts by planning & organizing daily work schedule to call on
existing or potential customers
- Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products
and services to meet the customer needs
- Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers,
based on business needs and goals
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer
relationships
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize
lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special
objectives within the assigned territory
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to
maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within
schedule
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results
reports, such as call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and
annual territory analyses
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems,
interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products
and services
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace
information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules,
merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service and policy by
evaluating results and competitive developments
- Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and
status reports
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems;
developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to
management
- Continuously improve through feedbackEssential Competencies:
- Proven work experience as a sales representative
- 2-3+ years of food service sales experience
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record
in sales
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the
audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and
