growing team in Colorado Springs, CO has an opening for a HEMP
Engineer Site Lead who will be responsible to maintain accurate
records of on-site HEMP protection equipment, preparing and
submitting all required deliverables and identifying and preparing
any updates to technical orders and directives for the PARCS radar
site. This position is to serve as the HEMP Engineer Site Lead for
the PARCS radar located near Cavalier, ND.Our ideal individual will
be responsible for sustainment of the HEMP Protection
infrastructure at this site by working closely with the HEMP
subcontractor for the planning, scheduling, and execution of all
quarterly maintenance visits, as well as any additional maintenance
activities directed by the customer.Basic Qualifications &
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of
engineering experience; or 3 years' experience with a Master's
degree; or 0 years with PhD.
- Required to travel to site for each quarterly maintenance
activity and other unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Current DoD Interim Secret clearance or higher is required to
start
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Knowledge of HEMP and/or TEMPEST protection measures, Radio
Frequency (RF) propagation and coupling.
- Experience utilizing MS Office Suite tools (i.e., Access,
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Word).Preferred
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working with ground-based radar systems, preferably
Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) PAVE Phased Array
Warning System (PAVE PAWS) and/or Perimeter Acquisition Radar
Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
- Thorough understanding of HEMP, RF propagation, RF coupling,
electrical power systems, grounding and HEMP protection and counter
measures
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-188-125 and MIL HDBK 423
- Expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks with experience developing
electrical power diagrams and 3D drawings
- Electro-mechanical design and Programmable Logic
Controllers
- MATLAB and other programming languages
- Experience in an electronics laboratory, specifically with
design and testing Salary Range: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
