Description

Jaxon Engineering is looking for a full-time Sustainment Technician to work out of our Colorado Springs shop.

Jaxon is a distinguished leader in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) hardening and survivability. We evaluate and design EMP systems and facilities, and deliver high quality technical services. Jaxon is the only company able to offer turn-key EMP shielding products and services to our Department of Defense and commercial customers.

The successful candidate must be able to sustain a 50-60% out-of-town travel schedule . He/she must be a team player, while stretching performance standards for themself.

Clearance: Secret clearance from the Department of Defense preferred

Salary: $20-23.00 per hour

  Primary Duties
  
  • Refurbish and maintain EMP protected assemblies and items
  • Provide accurate, high-quality drafts of documentation
  • Material Procurement
  • Perform general construction activities
  • Perform maintenance activities by means of rope access
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal & external customers
  • Meet all applicable OSHA requirements
    
    Requirements
    
    
    • Valid U.S. driver's license
    • Strong detail orientation
    • Able to climb stairs, ladders and use hand tools
    • Able to follow work-plans and instructions
    • Effective written and oral communication for coordination & reporting work
    • Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to complete training and obtain rope access certification through SPRAT
    • Ability to obtain & maintain a Dept of Defense Top Secret security clearance
    • Able to sustain a 50-60% annual travel schedule
    • Able to lift & carry 50 lbs., multiple times during the day
    • Prior experience working with Dept of Defense personnel preferred
    • Prior construction, maintenance or electronics experience preferred
