Find out for yourself why we're one of 2022's Best Places to Work in Multifamily by applying today!The Maintenance Technician position performs routine maintenance and monitors the facilities by performing the following duties.Responsibilities:Always demonstrate quality customer serviceWork alone and or in a team with professionalism and efficiencyRespond to problems and find solutions to any repairs needed on the premises including installation of appliances, HVAC, electrical, and others in a timely mannerEnsure adherence to OSHA standards as well as the Company's safety and hazard communications programs, policies, and proceduresWork with Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure a clean workstation, follow budget guidelines, maintain preventative maintenance, and complete all assigned tasks up to company standardsWork with the service team to ensure the premises is presentable and safe for operationsDemonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic to help keep the atmosphere friendly and productiveQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred1 year Maintenance Technician experience is preferredAble to lift over 50 lbs. consistently throughout an 8-12 hour workdayBasic knowledge of HVAC, wiring map diagram, structural maintenance including, but not limited to, drainage pipes, gutters, sidewalk repair, fundamental to advanced plumbing, basic to advanced electrical, and painting.Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics without assistanceAbility to travel to additional safety or instructional courses off the premises.Remain on call after hours if necessary.Ability to work overtime if necessary.Reliable transportation is required.The pay range for this role is $18 $22/hr. with commissions potential.SKILLS AND ABILITIESTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Embodies Laramar Core ValuesExcellent oral and written communicatorPositive attitude, organization with strong attention to detail requiredParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and Company goalsSUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS:This role has no supervisory responsibilities.PERKS OF THE JOB:14 paid holidays (including your birthday!):Sundays offPaid 401k matchZero-dollar healthcare plan optionFlexible hours & PTOCompany-paid life insurancePaid short and long-term disability insurance20% housing discount if you live on sitePhysical Demands and Work Environment: (The phrases " Occasionally," " Regularly," and" Frequently" correspond to the following definitions: " Occasionally" means up to ? of working time, " Regularly" means between ? and ? of working time, and " Frequently" means ? and more of working time.)The work environment is the typical commercial property management environment.
