Security (BDS), Ground Development and Mission Operations Division
(GDMS), is seeking a Systems Engineer Support Analyst to join our
team located in Colorado Springs, CO.Our team is responsible for
engineering, operations, and sustainment support to the Space Based
Space Surveillance (SBSS) program and Red LAN program owned by the
US Space Force and operated out of Schriever SFB. Position
Overview: The Systems Engineer Support Analyst will be a part of a
high-performing program team that is engaged in providing
operations support to the Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS)
program. The SBSS program provides critical Space Domain Awareness
(SDA) data to our US Space Force war fighters. This position will
be responsible for mission operations including; mission planning,
satellite contact planning and execution, anomaly response, as well
as general systems engineering support.This position reports
directly to the Boeing SBSS program Engineering Lead, and is part
of a small high-performing team. This opportunity offers a
collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity
to learn from others and be a mentor to junior engineers. Position
Responsibilities: Execute routine satellite operations.Execute
mission planning activities.Help maintain and develop operations
procedures to support satellite & ground segment operations.Help
maintain crew training materials, documents, and lesson plans.Use
an enthusiastic, hands-on approach to work.Assist in the
integration of technical, cost, value, risks, and specialty
engineering considerations into definition of the product.
Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams,
management, sales and marketing staff, customers, and suppliers to
meet group, organization and company objectives.Works under minimal
direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed
location options.This position requires an active/current
Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain a
Top Secret/Sensitive Compartment Information (TS/SCI) security
clearance and program access (post-start). (A U.S. Security
Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered
active.). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3
years or more of experience with satellite operations.3 years of
more of experience with Department of Defense Programs. Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's, Master's or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.2
years or more experience with procedure execution, development, or
sustainment.Experience with general systems engineering
executionTypical Education & Experience: Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or
an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
(e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related
work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
