This singular mission requires a dedication to innovative thinking at every level.This Actuarial Analyst will be working in a Remote (Work@Home) environment and will be part of an Actuary team responsible for Auto Pricing. A Hybrid work location will also be considered if the person lives within a commutable distance to one of the USAA office locations to include: San Antonio, TX, Tampa, FL, Phoenix, AZ, and Colorado Springs, CO.Coordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, andor determine financial strength. Under minimal supervision, performs moderately complex work assignments and problem resolution.Job RequirementsTasks:Acquires and applies developing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.Utilizes actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, andor risk management.Enters data and tables, runs models, and generates reports.May make adjustments and improvements to models, when appropriate.Maintains proper price level, price structure, data availability and other requirements to achieve profitability and competitive goals.Identifies critical experience areas to monitor and suggest timely remedies to correct or prevent unfavorable trends.Identifies sources of gain and loss by product and assumption.Resolve issues and identifies appropriate issues for escalation.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree OR 4 additional years of Actuarialbusinessanalytical experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.2 or more years Actuarialbusinessanalytical experience + 3 CAS examsPreferred Qualifications:Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data & methods and ability to connect technical insights to business problemsDemonstrated familiarity with relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches used to support fact-based decision makingAbility to effectively communicate insights and solutions to broad audiences including actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholdersPersonal lines pricing experienceFamiliarity and experience with industry pricing software such as EarnixThe above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the pensation:USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
