DescriptionThis position focuses on the service lifecycle of
various public safety, and other auxiliary services applications.
This position is responsible for the implementation, configuration,
and ongoing support of hardware, software, and integrations of
software campus relationship management, design, configuration,
adoption, operation, release management, continual service
improvement, and support of the collaboration and productivity
suite (Microsoft Office 365).--Who We Are:The --is one of four

Best Places to Live in the U.S.Job Duties:
- Provide ongoing administrative support of the University ID
card system in support of Public Safety, Dining, Housing, etc. This
entails regular management and configuration to ensure accurate
data to support students, faculty, staff, and access to services.
This includes recommending expansion and improvement for the
expansion of the ID card system while maintaining its ongoing
- Provide campus-wide routine and emergency support for all
aspects of the University ID card system under the governance of
the OIT Project and Change Management. This includes but is not
limited to the integration of new software and hardware, testing
and troubleshooting of the door access network, maintenance of the
point of sale terminals that play--a central role in the student
dining program. This often requires physical presence at a device
location to appropriately perform to support tasks.
- Coordinates with other OIT and Auxiliary teams as needed.--
This includes both the OIT Operations and Applications staff to
support bi-directional data integrations between the University ID
card system and other identity applications. It also requires
working closely with both OIT User Services and the University Info
Center to student, faculty, and staff ID card related issues.
- Conducts ongoing analysis for individual departments,
recommending changes or appropriate deployment of technology usage
to meet changing needs. This includes a combination of
hardware/software installation and troubleshooting/training.
- Works on project--tasks alone or with team members and
completes tasks within deadlines. This includes the appropriate use
of project management applications for tracking status and
outstanding issues.--Job Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft-based technologies including
Office 365 (especially Outlook, Excel, and Teams), operating
systems (server and desktop), and supporting infrastructure
technologies (DNS, Active Directory, etc.).
- Working knowledge of equipment found in physical access
environment (e.g. magnetic locks, door strikes, barcode, magnetic
stripe, and near-field communication--readers) and point of sale
terminals and printers.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, have good
communication skills, and be able to follow change and project
- Working knowledge of Office 365 productivity tools, especially
Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.This position has been determined
to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor
