Job Description:

Our client in the Colorado Springs area is currently seeking a Tier 2 IT Technician. This is a versatile role and the ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of IT tasks.
The Tier 2 Technician installs, maintains, and repairs customer hardware and software, resolves complex incidents and requests and primarily provides 2nd level technical and troubleshooting assistance to customer inquiries. This is all done in a manner that builds customer trust and confidence. This candidate will also provide Tier 1 support as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Intermediate troubleshooting, researching, implementing, and optimizing resolutions to customer incidents and request.-Provides remote and onsite technical assistance and training to client end users-Provides excellent customer service to clients and communicates effectively with clients via email, phone, and ticketing system-Escalates work to leadership or higher-level tech when assigned work cannot be resolved in a timely manner-Accurately document work performed, customer interaction and time worked in ticketing system-Close tasks and tickets in a timely manner-Follow best practices in accordance with security guidelines, CMMC and HIPAA to protect client data-Perform on-call duties as required in the on-call rotation-Drives company owned vehicle when going onsite to a client's location so must have a clean driving record and CO driver's license
Job Qualifications:
-Strong working knowledge and troubleshooting experience -Knowledge of how an IT ticketing system environment operates-Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills-Strong customer service skills-Strong documentation skills-Ability to gain competence in new technologies
Education or Formal Training:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of related education or experience-A+ Technology Certification or equivalent combination of related training and experience-Server+, Network+, Security+ certifications or equivalent
Experience:
-Minimum 4 years of IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience-Service desk remote support experience-2 years working with: -Microsoft and Apple OS -Private and public VM cloud environments -Microsoft 365 Cloud Services -WAN Technologies -Network mapping -VPN -Printer networking -VoIP and PBX systems-Experience working in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment
