Join our team and thrive in a career that matters to the world and you personally.The Space Operations Directorate provides support to United States Space Command, to include the Headquarters, Joint Task Force Space Defense, and Combined Force Space Component Command in their mission to "conduct operations in, from, and to space to deter conflict, and if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combined force, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners.Key Functions

  • Lead technical analyses utilizing system and architectural modeling tools to evaluate potential new system concepts
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to research, define and solve problems affecting military planning, requirements development, and system acquisition.
  • Design and direct analytical studies and modeling of the military/strategic value of ground- and space-based assets to assess overall mission impact.
  • Design and conduct analyses related to development of concepts of operation, risk management, and agile protection/resilience of critical military and civilian space capabilities
  • Locate, research, and analyze all sources of open and classified data to support multidisciplinary scientific and technical intelligence research and analysis in support of national security space customers
  • Locate, research, and analyze functional and performance capabilities of foreign and international space systems, space access, space surveillance, space weapons, and adversarial use of space on U.S. national security architectures and systems
  • Conduct concurrent analysis utilizing a variety of modeling tools
  • Work across program and organizational boundaries to develop creative solutions for critical unfilled requirements, ensure common programmatic challenges and risks are identified
  • Coordinate the use of ETG resources in support of USSPACECOM projects
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership through timely reporting of issues
  • Work closely and effectively with external stakeholders including other Aerospace personnel & government personnelQualifications Required
    • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related fields from a recognized institution or equivalent experience in the field
    • An understanding of the national security space organizations and infrastructure, satellite operations and supporting infrastructure
    • Have experience in orbital mechanics and tools for analyzing satellite orbits within the analytic space/counterspace intelligence community
    • Prior related experience with the analytical side of the intelligence community is desired, as is a demonstrated ability to analyze a wide variety of data.
    • 12 or more years of modeling & simulation experience with strong applied statistics and stochastic modeling expertise and understanding of standard OR analysis techniques and tools, modeling and simulation
    • Excellent communications skills
    • Periodic travel is required
    • A current Top-Secret SCI clearancePreferred
      • Advanced degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, or Science from a recognized institution
      • Experience in space operations and resiliency concepts and their applications to prototyping of current and future space systems
      • Experience with operational design and analysis of military plans and space systems
      • Experience working with the US Space Command, US Space Force, US Space Command, and NRO customers
      • Exhibit high-level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
      • Ability to prioritize effort in a highly dynamic environment
