Assistant Facility Security Officer

Provides AFSO support to the ENSCO Inc. Program Security Manager
for the SMC/RN SE&I contract, technical staff, and customers.
Supports the Security Manager in: Developing, monitoring, and
policing ENSCO security procedures and developing, monitoring, and
policing the ENSCO security awareness program to ensure personnel
are current on the latest procedures. Preparing and submitting
facility documentation to appropriate Government organizations to
maintain facility clearances. Preparing and submitting employee
visit requests to support classified visits by to other cleared
facilities and government locations. Processing non-ENSCO personnel
visit requests to ENSCO facilities. Assisting personnel in
establishing and/or updating documentation needed to
obtain/maintain their security accesses and submitting required
documentation to NBIB. Manages the facility Closed Area(s).
Document control services for classified and CUI documents to
include maintaining, tracking, wrapping, mailing and destroying
documents when no longer needed. Ordering and maintaining technical
DoD, JCS, Air Force and SMC Instructions, Manuals, and Directives.
Researching and downloading information from Government web sites
located on the Internet, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet. Supports the ENSCO
Program Facility Security Manager/Officer and Division Security
Manager in providing security-related support. Provides other
comparable duties as assigned.
Familiarity/knowledge of SIMS
Qualifications Required (Skills)
BS or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of related
Certification as FSO for Processing Facilities
Demonstrated competency in supervisory or leadership experience
Knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC) procedures
In-depth knowledge of DoD Security
Processes at a contractor facility with emphasis in one or more of
the following disciplines:personnel security; document control to
include inventory, destruction,handling, delivering, reproduction
and storage; and/or facility security experience
Knowledgeable of facility management (alarms, combination locks,
access control systems),monthly report writing editing, security
inspections, etc. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to
include Word, Excel.
Knowledge of JPAS, E-QIP, DISS, SWFT, NCAISS/NISS and the personnel
Ability to use standard office systems to include a desktop
computer, printers,non-secure fax, scanner, copier, binding
machine, and shredder
Use of secure telephone and secure fax
Strong written and oral communications skills
Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail along with the
o Great patience, arbitration skills, and flexibility with all
levels of customers
o Ability to work out divergent view problems in a team setting a
