Job Ad Template OU.LOCATION Summary: Under limited supervision, coordinate the assigned group ofManufacturing Technicians in the production of IntegratedCircuits. Responsible for the development and implementationof activities in the assigned manufacturing area to meet productiongoals, quality guidelines, and cost objectives. Prioritizeproduction schedules based on product introduction, equipmentefficiency, and materials availability. Selects and developspersonnel to ensure the efficient operation of the productionfunction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and lead the activities to support the processingof production and development material in accordance withdefined specifications and delivery requirements. Interface with other production supervisors and departmentheads to ensure effectiveness of the overall manufacturingoperation with respect to line balance of inventory levels,drive improvements in capacity planning, and resourcerequirements. Introduce new processes, equipment, and working procedures toensure continuous improvement in Cobham Colorado Springsmanufacturing capability including yield, cycle time, costs,employee development and training for overall first passsuccess. Lead the assigned manufacturing group ensuring uniformapplication of all Company policies and guidelines, providingnecessary training and development of group members, ensuringalignment with Cobham Colorado Springs overall businessstrategies, goals, and objectives. Develop, in conjunction with Production Manager and withSenior Management inputs, the appropriate objectives for thegroup, as well as, individual group members, ensuring alignmentwith Cobham Colorado Springs over business strategies, goals,and objectives. In conjunction with management, execute the tasks required tosupport the ongoing environmental health and safetyimprovements. Ensure integrity of data collection and processing to maintaincompliance with specifications and systems including the activeuse of statistical process control and design of experimentaltechniques. Coordinate with Production Control and other operationaldepartments to plan and execute the prioritized processing ofrequired production and development material to achieve businessdelivery performance. Direct the assigned manufacturing personnel to assemble andtest integrated devices based on a wide application ofprinciples, theories, and concepts for compliance with militaryspecifications and internal process specifications for themanufacturing area. Exhibit a strong knowledge of personnel motivation conceptsand training, including empowerment, decision-making, coaching,and facilitating in a manufacturing environment. Other Duties and Responsibilities: The supervisor is continuously involved with cross-functionalprojects, such as, specification updates, process enhancement,capacity improvements, and developmental experiments. Assist engineering with design of experiments, functionallayouts, and business meetings. The meetings includetactical planning, material review boards, software upgradereviews, and project improvement meetings. Collecting dataand producing graphs to demonstrate the overall health andefficiency of the production areas. Interview and select personnel for specific duties, writeperformance reviews and exercise disciplinary action asrequired. Occasionally assists Facilities with re-arranging of workareas and other modifications as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: The first line supervisors will supervise 15-25 manufacturingemployees. On a daily basis, the supervisor will identify the most urgentoperation to perform and the highest priority lots toprocess. Give other pertinent information regardingpriorities, equipment status, changes in specification and whatto expect from other areas. On a periodic basis, the supervisor will define trainingrequirements, issues within the area, upcoming demands, and anyother item requiring dissemination. Education & Experience Requirements: Associates degree (AS) or equivalent from a two-year collegeor technical school plus 3-5 years' experience in amanufacturing environment, or equivalent is required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Visual Enterprise Budgeting & Fiscal Responsibilities: The supervisor orders expendable tools and materials needed toaccomplish the job and has a $1,000 signing authority. Clearance Requirements: Secret Government Security Clearance is required. Computer Skills: Must be efficient in the use of e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel(including building graphs), and any other pertinent softwarerequired to perform the job such as Microsoft Project. Use of Visual Enterprise. Security: All applicants must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Person as defined byITAR (a lawful permanent resident or someone who is a protectedindividual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)).
