Systems is seeking a Systems Operations Lead. - This position will
be located in Colorado Springs, CO. - The Systems Operations Lead
will work directly with customers to schedule training events,
understand desired learning outcomes, and define training scenarios
(including recommending physical layouts based on astrodynamics
knowledge that meet the learning objectives), and coordinate with
the customer to represent the team, inform the customer of
simulation capabilities, and help plan scenarios. What you'll get
to do:
- Lead a 7-10 member team of training, software support, and
astrodynamics subject matter experts in the execution of live
training events for customers
- Maintain and create training material as needed to support
events
- Teach simulation familiarization, answer trainee questions,
help trainees use the simulation environment, and help the software
support team members as needed to troubleshoot issues.
- Collect feedback after training events and track recommended
updates to the training material or simulation environment.
- Work as part of an AGILE/Scrum team to plan work required to
execute training events and add new capabilities to the
simulator.
- Maintain the training schedule and coordinate across the
broader team for use of the training spaces and equipment.
- Teach training courses focused on Rendezvous and Proximity
Operations (RPO) and Mission Planning/Operational Concepts.
- Work directly with building security personnel, visitor
control, and cyber personnel as needed to plan events.
- Lead discussions and meetings related to training events,
trainee interaction, and simulation.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years experience
- Astrodynamics knowledge, especially in Geo-synchronous Earth
Orbit (GEO) related to Rendezvous and Proximity Operations
- Updating training documentation
- Experience -working directly with customer representatives to
plan & schedule events
- Ability to troubleshoot operations issues with students.
- Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret/SCI
Clearance at time of applicationPreferred Qualifications:
- Training/Teaching experience
- Software experience with Bash Linux, Python etc#COSPACESalary
Range: $100,300 - $150,500The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
