division within Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is known
for pushing the boundaries of innovation, redefining engineering

cutting-edge technology. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking
a Principal RF Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the
Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program. Performs
technical planning, system integration, verification and
validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness
analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of the total system product
including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation,
operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade
studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies
to translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications.
- This role will travel approximately 50% of the time to an OCONUS
location with durations lasting 90-120 days.
Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Must have a completed STEM degree [a degree in the fields of
science, technology, engineering, or mathematics]
- 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's
(STEM)
- Must have above minimum experience with hands-on RF testing
- Must have above minimum hands-on experience using commercial test
equipment (i.e., vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers,
oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators)
- Must have the ability to travel OCONUS for 90 to 120-day
increments (up to 50% annually)
Degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related
field
- Experience testing and characterizing products that utilize
advanced waveforms
- Experience with temperature, shock, burn-in, and environmental
testing (including MIL-STD 810G).
- Experience using Linux and developing software applications that
run on Linux-based computer systems
- Experience participating and guiding the testing of RF hardware
for required performance metrics: Experience mentoring and guiding
more junior engineers and technicians in the design, build, and
test phases of RF projects and programs
The 9/80 schedule allows employees to work a nine-hour day Monday
through Thursday and take every other Friday off. In addition,
