Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst - Computer Operations Support Analyst (COSA) (24-262) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of various technical Leads and interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the available resources. The candidate will integrate the product lines, generate responsible sections of the capability specifications and DOORS processes and procedures, train less experienced personnel in SE techniques, review the content and details of technical products, and act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis. This position will provide cross-functional support for requirements management and DOORS administration.
Ability to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured and logical approach, develop requirements management schema and attributes.
* Ability to implement engineering plans within a project.
* Sufficient programming skills to be able to generate DXL scripts to provide manipulation of DOORS data
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
* Government DOD Secret clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
* 10 years with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or a related field; Generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities.
* Perform DOORS administration for COS, HSV, and MDIOC; installation, use of Change Proposal System)
* BMD XML Specification Support: (e.g., identified how to use XML to report BMDS status; work technical performance measures (TPMs)
* Support initiative to present DOORS requirements data via a browser-accessible interface.
Experience improving DOORS database performance is highly desired.
