Job Title: Chief Systems Engineer-Missile Defense (Active Secret Security Clearance Required)Job Code: -12135Job Location: Colorado Springs, COJob Description: As a Chief Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in requirements development, design, development, implementation, testing and training of/for radar systems, command and control systems, large IT infrastructures, and ground systems for our warfighters. - This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. - We have a long history of innovative and exceptional performance; we have earned our place as a trusted provider to our customers.In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a chief system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!Essential Functions:

• Understanding of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) - Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support as well as Operations, mission and requirements.
• Understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Missile Defense Space Center (MDSC) Operations and Maintenance, MDS Mission Operations, Systems Engineering & Program Integration
• Fill the functions of the CSE that include: responsibility for the technical execution on the program, customer interfacing and interactions, preparing and presenting briefings to internal leadership and external customers
• Develop technical baselines and reference architectures for standard designs and solutions.
• Conduct overall Systems Engineering and Integration for Missile Defense and N&NC technology maturation, design, development, prototyping, demonstration and testing.
• Support mission operations, wargame and exercises, testing, modeling and simulation.
• Effectively integrate, manage, and communicate within and between all technical areas.
• Design, develop, integrate, operate, and sustain a secure and reliable information management architectures and infrastructure for mission systems, enabling a continuous operational readiness posture.
• Demonstrated understanding of sustaining, maintaining and modernizing large, complex infratructures and systems.
• Defining the technical approach for customer requirements and then implementing their solutions. - -
• Decomposing PWS requirements into requirements that are testable.
• Developing basis of estimates for scope of work.Qualifications: -
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security -clearance.
  • 5 years -experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Background in one of the following areas: -missile warning, missile defense, -strategic warning, -theatre missile warning/defense. -Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Led or integral member of a competitve capture > $10M
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field.Experience supporting DoD/government customers
    • Background in MW/MD, N2C2 systems, the ITW/AA enterprise and MDA; understanding of operational and strategic level of Command and Control of the Missile Warning and legacy SSA enterprise, the mission of the MDA it's customers and systems
    • Familiarity with Agile development principles
    • Familiarity with space mission operations
    • Systems Integration and system test
    • Top Secret clearance
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to build teams with external entities (i.e. other companies) In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $128,000 - $238,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays.
