Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program seeks seeking an experienced
engineer to join our technical team. As an experienced space
systems engineer, you will apply engineering principles and
expertise to bring technical solutions to bear on the government''s
toughest challenges in the acquisition and design of space
capabilities. The MDA Sensors & C4ISR Department (N262) provides
technical leadership to MDA Program across the Battle Management,
Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3), Ground Sensors, and
Space domains. This is a Colorado Springs, CO-based position; this
work location is required to effectively foster sponsor
relationships and shape the work program. Job Responsibilities: *
Lead government and contractor technical team to develop Space
Network Architecture and assess performance* Lead government and
contractor technical team to deliver space-to-ground segment*
Contribute to and/or oversee broad parametric technical trade space
analyses to define future space transport layer force designs and
architectures.* Link mission area force designs together with a
holistic view of the entire space enterprise to ensure that a
multi-disciplinary view is taken across the enterprise and refine
force designs with a cross-mission enterprise perspective.* Develop
technical white papers and briefings on communications and
satellite system design and development issues. Basic
Qualifications: * Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of
related experience with a Bachelor''s degree; or 6 years and a
Master''s degree; or a PhD with 3 years'' experience; or equivalent
combination of related education and work experience.* Applicants
selected for this position will be subject to a government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to
classified information or applicants who are eligible for security
clearances. Required Qualifications: * Experience in space ground
segment development* Experience in space network architecture
development* Experience in constellation management* Technical
skills to understand and analyze communications problems, define
potential solution to these problems, and conduct in-depth
technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of
technical studies in a systems engineering context.* Experience
with traditional space mission areas, including an understanding of
how we operate those missions across the space enterprise.*
Demonstrated ability to independently bring new, innovative
solutions to sponsor challenges and strategically advocate for new
approaches.* Knowledge of advanced threats to space systems and
mitigation methods.* Ability to clearly document and present ideas
and findings.* Bachelor''s Degree in engineering, Physics,
Mathematics or similar scientific, engineering, or technical degree
PreferredQualifications: * Experience in communications
architectures & network modeling such as digital communications
theory, detection and estimation theory, RF modulation techniques,
error correction coding, spread spectrum techniques, multiple
access methodologies, and signal processing* Knowledge of space and
ground crypto methodologies* Master''s Degree in engineering or
similar field and with at least 10 years of experience* Current
TS/SCI This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of

the following clearance(s): Salary compensation range and
midpoint:$127,500 - $159,500 - $191,500 Annual Subject to all
