Responsibilities
Join in a new effort to establish the Battle Management, Command,
Control, and Communications (BMC3) software development and hosting
environment for the National Defense Space Architecture (NDSA). The
environment will enable software development capabilities to
securely and rapidly field mission applications developed by
participants in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control
(JADC2) objectives.
- Development and support of modern Battle Management Command,
Control and Communications (BMC3) systems security measures in
accordance with the applicable ICDs, NISP, other guiding goverment
regulations and local facility procedures
- Have oversight responsibility for the Information Assurance
(IA) of the BMC3 ecosystem
- Ensure system(s) maintain compliance with applicable security
directives and standards (i.e., NISPM, DAAPM, NIST, CNSSI,
etc.)
- Support for cyber security accreditation evaluations and
assessments
- Implement data protection best practices, system hardening,
secure operation management, STIG compliance, vulnerability
scans,
- Ensure security principles, procedures, and practices under RMF
are applied to the system(s)
- Hardware system inventory maintenance
- Will work with management, customer representatives, system
administrators and other stakeholders to maintain a strong
information security posture
- Strong background in certification and accreditation process of
information systems and ability to write, review, and coordinate
system security plans. Drafting of the System Security Plan (SSP)
and Cybersecurity Test Plan
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years relevant technical or security experience with a
Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field or 15+ years
relevant technical or security experience with some or no college
and relevant certifications
- Hold an IAM Level 2, DoD 8570.01-M compliant certification
(i.e., CISSP, CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, GSLC)
- Expertise with the RMF process
- Understanding of the NIST 800 series, NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM,
and related publications
- Requirements gathering, designing, and implementing IT
Systems
- Drafting System Security Plans (SSP) and other Body of Evidence
(BOE) documentation in support of an authorization package, such as
boundary diagrams, operating procedures, etc.
- Implementing and monitoring technical, administrative, and
operational security controls
- Performing risk assessment and risk mitigation for classified
IT systems
- Collaborating with CSA representatives to maintain open
communication
- Using network/system scanning tools and interpreting
results
- Experience with security incident management
- Security education, awareness, and trainingDesired

- Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

analysis

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this
position, and is just one component of Peratons total compensation
package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses,
