Principal Systems Engineer role is located in Colorado Springs, CO,
supporting the Peregrine program that include technical roles at
the mission, segment, and component levels. Tasks associated with
the Peregrine program will include research and analysis of other
modeling and simulation (M&S) systems to define a vision for
how they may integrate with the Peregrine platform.The
responsibilities of this role may include:
- Defining high level CONOPS that provides representation of what
an integrated solution would look like and how its deployed.
- Investigating software level interfaces that mutually benefit
capabilities within the integrated Peregrine construct.
- Analysis of satellite related modeling and simulation systems,
their capabilities and determining the viability of integrating
across systems.
- Decomposing system interfaces into requirements and tracking
those requirements through the full system life cycle to successful
delivery of software updates.
- Support in cost estimations to perform the integration,
definition and documentation of system requirements for Peregrine,
MBSE modeling within Cameo.
- Work with ground software and software systems.This position
will expose the candidate to equal parts technical competency,
forward thinking ideas, and execution focus. This position requires
a functional understanding of systems engineering as well as a
basic understanding of orbital dynamics; guidance, navigation, and
control; software and ground systems; and Python.Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM or related discipline +5 years of
experience or a Master's Degree in STEM or related discipline +3
years of experience
- Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret
level clearancePreferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with anything RPO related, satellite ground
station software, distributed M&S, or wargaming related is a
plus.
- Prior experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence,
etc) or Cameo is a plus.#CoSpaceSalary Range: $92,200 USD -
$138,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
