Come be a part of our mission!We are seeking applicants for a Requirements Lead to work the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program. This position will serve as a System Engineer focused on the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) PAVE Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization (PARCS) radars.This position is in Colorado Springs, CO with possibility for remote location.What You'll Get to Do

  • Report directly to the SMORS Program System Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead
  • Maintain, update and champion the process for defining, analyzing, allocating, verifying, validating, and managing the SMORS requirements baseline
  • Update and maintain all SMORS Process Asset Library artifacts specific to requirements management, including, but not limited to, the Requirements Management Plan (RMP) and Requirements Working Group Charter
  • Provide technical guidance to teams performing requirements development
  • Provide training and mentoring of requirement processes and procedures
  • Participate in backlog refinement and PI planning to ensure requirements activities are planned in accordance with process artifacts
  • Chair the requirements working groups for each product line
  • Participate in Engineering Review Boards
  • Review technical baseline artifacts and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
  • Manage the SMORS sensors' systems requirements using the Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 9 years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in STEM with 7 years in a STEM related industry experience. OR PhD in STEM with 3 years of related industry experience
    • Ability to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance within 3 months
    • Experience using any requirements management tool to maintain requirementsPreferred Qualifications:
      • Active DoD Secret clearance
      • INCOSE Certified SE Professional (CSEP)
      • Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
      • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering including architecture modeling (DoDAF) and System Modeling (SysML/UML).
      • Experience using DOORS to maintain requirements
      • Technical writing skills for generating analysis and reports
      • Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
      • Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) PAVE Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
