JOB POSITION: People Services GeneralistCLASSIFICATION:
ExemptThe People Services Generalist will run the daily operations
of People Services in their division to include coaching and
advising division leaders, hiring, interviewing and onboarding,
performance management, administering pay practices, benefits, and
leave, compliance and ensuring company policies and practices are
adhered to consistently, and role modeling View Homes Values and
Behaviors.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are upheld by
the People Services Generalist:Role model and live the company
values and behaviors. Know the company vision, mission, and
objectives and continually communicate and reinforce these to Team
Members.Adhere to the codes of the company's Employee
Manual.Develop and maintain a trusted relationship with Leaders and
Team Members;Continuously seeks to add value to the organization
and maintain an exemplary reputation for confidentiality;Recruit,
source and coordinate interviewing, references, and documentation
of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with
department managers to understand skills and competencies required
for openingsEnsure consistent practice of PeoplePix interviewing
model;Conduct or acquire background checks and Team Member
eligibility verificationsDistribute, complete, and process
paperwork for new hires;Implement and participate in conducting new
hire orientation and benefits orientation to build a strong
foundation for new Team Members and assist in increasing Team
Member engagement;Ensure successful on-boarding process for Team
Members;Partner with Values Sub-Team leaders to implement
performance management programs, Team Member recognition programs
and communication plans;Work with Team Members to answer benefits
questions and assist in processing life events and open enrollment
elections;Assist in the development and implementation of People
Services guidelines;Coordinate exit process for departing Team
Members;Coach management and teams to promote and facilitate career
growth and development;Performs routine tasks required to
administer and execute human resource programs including but not
limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; corrective
action/disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations;
performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and
morale; occupational health and safety; and training and
development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants,
Team Members, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive
matters to the Division Leader and/or VP, People Services.Conducts
regular Team Member surveys to ensure a high level of Team Member
engagement; Partners with leaders to develop and communicate action
plans to address issues and/or gaps resulting from surveys.Sends
Team Member Survey action plans to the VP, People Services for
review and approval.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and
local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best
practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain
compliance.Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory
and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work
assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment
training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and
certifications.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices,
regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law.Assist in the development, update,
and implementation of People Services guidelines;Proactively
support and ensure compliance with company policies and
procedures;Perform other duties, as needed and/or assigned by
Division Leader and/or VP, People Services;Foster, encourage, and
reward a fun, positive, successful, values-based culture!MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: The following are expected of the People Services
Generalist:
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven
ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem/conflict
resolution skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize
tasks.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and
regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the
organization's HRIS and talent management systems.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years of Human Resources Generalist experience
required. PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred.EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or
equivalent work experience.EEO/OSHA/ADA: Able to manipulate and use
CRT/screens, keyboards, mouse/pointing devices, etc., associated
with contemporary computers. Able to sit or stand for extended
periods of time. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Legally
authorized to work in the USA.
Neat and professional appearance.Based in Colorado Springs office
but may be required to travel to other sites, to include those in
N. Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.Need to successfully pass a
5-year background check and drug test.Salaried Exempt, Full-time
position.
