Northrop Grumman is seeking Senior Radar Systems Engineer in
Colorado Springs, CO.
Primary Duties:
The selected candidate will apply customer interactions and program
management regarding the design, development and analysis of next
generation digital Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar
systems. The selected candidate will be the liaison between the
technical development and program management teams with as strong
understanding of the design and implementation of advanced RF
techniques and radar control.
Duties:
--- Assist in the development of the complete technical offering
including the system architecture, cost estimates, schedule, and
performance estimates for a next generation digital AESA radar
system
--- Be effective in presenting technical, radar engineering-level
details to executive-level audiences, providing clear and
understandable insights and actionable recommendations
--- Lead analytical discussions and leverage data-backed evidence
to describe and promote system capabilities to DoD customers
--- Responsible for close coordination between the technical and
program management teams regarding system-level details impacting
cost, schedule, and performance
--- Assist in research and development of advanced RF capabilities,
to include modeling, simulation, and analysis of radar control and
radar performance
--- Contribute to the application of data analysis techniques and
methodologies to design innovative CONOPS for next generation radar
systems
--- Contribute to the design of multi-attribute trade studies,
design of experiments (DOE), and analysis of alternatives
Basic Qualifications:
--- Systems Engineer: 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years
with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
--- Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a radar engineer
or analyst
--- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent
--- Experience performing analysis using modeling and
simulation
--- Experience estimating cost and schedule of development
activities
--- Active Secret Level DOD Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
--- Experience in Missile Defense and BMDS sensor capabilities
--- Functional knowledge of radar tracking and discrimination
algorithms, and/or radar control algorithms
--- Electrical engineering background with strong understanding of
RF waveforms and signal processing
--- Understanding of radar systems, hardware and capabilities
--- Experience leading engineering activities, including
identifying, planning and executing required activities across a
matrixed, multi-functional team without being given clear
direction
--- Experience developing CONOPs and mission-level capabilities and
requirements
--- Knowledge of System Engineering principles and requirements
management
--- Effective communicator, capable of effectively translating and
presenting complex concepts to both technical and non-technical
management and customers, through presentations and written
media
Salary Range: $157,500 USD - $236,300 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
