Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Systems Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

  • The successful candidate will lead the team and will perform use case development, prepare systems engineering artifacts including definition of Epics and Features to be developed by program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer requested capabilities, will update CONOP/CONEMP/OPSCON documents, address system test analysis and approach, define system trade study needs, and develop activity or sequence diagrams.
  • The position also supports the review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and authors and performs formal and informal engineering reviews.
  • Expectations of the leadership aspect includes providing use case development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department.
  • Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice.
  • Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.Basic Qualifications:

    If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
    • An active Secret clearance is required.
    • 14 Years with Bachelor's degree in a related field; 12 years' experience with a Master's degree.
    • Candidate should possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving BMDS Battle Management, Command & Control, and Communications (C2BMC) system.
    • Candidate should have demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in development of use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML modeling in support of MBSE.
    • Candidate should be an experienced user of the DOORS tool. Candidate skills required include: Requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower level subsystems and components. Maintenance of system and component baselines in a requirement management system; defining the relationships between internal and external components; communicating system level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
    • Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities.
    • Experience must include specific roles on a program with respect to use case development, requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition through a structured and logical approach.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze high level needs utilizing use cases/scenarios and relate them to the requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with Agile Methods, and Epic and Feature definition is a significant plus.
      • Skills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition, as well as knowledge of cyber security concepts and security accreditation are highly desirable.
      • Experience with / knowledge of MBSE or model-based engineering desired.
      • Experience with Cyber Security, the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and network design are highly desired.What We Can Offer You:

          Salary Range: $141,800 USD - $212,800 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
