Boeing's Missile Defense National Team is seeking motivated and
talented Associate System Engineers in Colorado Springs, Colorado
and Huntsville, Alabama !
The Missiles and Weapons Systems (MWS) organization is a dynamic
and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and
developing top talent in support of critical missions for National
Defense and Strategic Deterrence. Connected to our customers'
missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional
talent. The programs that we support in Huntsville, Alabama include
Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Next Gen Interceptor,
precision-guided munitions, and Integrated Air & Missile Defense
products (PAC-3, Avenger, ABMD); National Team, and Strategic
Deterrence Systems (which includes Minuteman ICBM support and
guidance system repair). The Missile Defense Programs in the
Huntsville site include Command and Control Battle Management and
Communications (C2BMC), Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and
Missile Defense National Team - Engineering (MDNT-E). The Missile
Defense Programs in the Colorado Springs area include Command and
Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) and
Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD).

Primary Responsibilities :Your duties may include (but are not
limited to):
Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to
determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a
framework giving insight into performance that may be employed by
Missile Defense Agency and Warfighters
Support development and maintaining analysis tools of varied
fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict
performance against evolving threats of current and future missile
defense systems
Serving as a system engineering system performance architecture,
test/definition/analysis domains, system-specific issues,
processes, and tool
Contribute to efforts to solve complex missile defense problems
Utilization of MBSE tools such as DOORS, System Architect and
mathematical modeling and simulation to provide thought leadership
and lead trade studies in assigned areas
Requirements and architecture development in support of MDS
systems
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems
and/or system architecture
Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning,
organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements
management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management
and technology readiness assessment processes
Defines, schedules, assigns, and executes tasks, and monitors
completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout
activities, receiving and evaluating of results of activities, and
approving/disapproving of each by determining whether results meet
the checkout requirements
You may be expected to drive the system engineering integration &
test or analysis approach. You will:
Support development, select, tailor, and deploy system analysis
processes, tools, and metrics
Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts
and solutions
Execute and document system analysis results or integration and
test activities
Develop, define efficiencies and improvements to tools to improve
team productivity
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate
will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location
options. (Colorado Springs, CO OR Huntsville, AL)
This position may require the ability to obtain access to an MDA
facility. Access to the facility requires a background
investigation by U.S. government authorities.
This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to
random drug and alcohol testing.
This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner
resource control board
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance .
(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24
months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited
course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry
Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and
organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :
Experience with Agile Development processes
Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance or an active Top Secret
clearance
DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC,
SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA
Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense
elements or systems in similar domains (air combat, air defense,
intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets,
space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.)
Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g.
aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures,
etc.)
Experience using MATLAB, Python, JAVA, or similar language
environment to develop analytical tools or perform numerical
modeling of complex systems
Demonstrated experience performing systems analysis or performance
analysis including system concept trade studies, operational
analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, system
performance measures of effectiveness analysis (incl. technical
performance measures), discrimination methods and techniques
definition, probability analysis, or vehicle analysis
Experience with EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors,
missiles/interceptors, ICBM / hypersonic / MRM / SRM threats,
discrimination analysis, detection/tracking, or Command and Control
(e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.)
Analysis experience or requirements and architecture in aspects of
missile defense systems such as Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based
Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, BMDS
sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, hypersonic
vehicles, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats)
Element-level experience with Analysis, Assessment, or Verification
and familiarity with MDS Performance Tier 1 Metrics (PES, DA, LAD,
RSC, etc)
Specialization in any of the following: radar & radio frequency
energy (RF), high-energy weapon systems, hypersonics,
electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, electronic attack,
electronic protection, remote sensing, target tracking &
discrimination, pattern recognition, imaging, sensor & data fusion,
missile technology, interceptors & kill-vehicles, battle
management, statistical methods, modeling & simulation (M&S),
concept development, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and
system testing
Typical Education/Experience :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.
Relocation :
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this

their own expense.

Summary pay range: $68,000 - $96,000
