Job Description MUST BE IN COLORADO If you love working directly with clients, structuring deals, working with referral partners, and getting loans closed, this could be for you We are looking for a customer service-focused, experienced mortgage professional with a background in origination or assisting in the origination process of conventional and government loans. You will exceed expectations by originating and processing loans in an efficient and timely manner, working directly with the borrower, referral partners, Loan Officer Team, and Underwriting and Closing teams. You aren---t afraid of the telephone, and you have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This job is for you if you LOVE the mortgage industry, and you have 3 years of experience in a Loan Partner, Loan Originator, or Loan Officer Assistant role. This job offers the stability of a non-commissioned role, joining a small team with big production goals. You---ll earn a base salary, plus bonuses. What you---ll do: You will touch on all phases of the loan process and be the liaison for clients, referral partners, and the loan officer Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate the collection of documentation, including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, send a closing cost worksheet to the borrower, and prepare the file for processing Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculations then report any discrepancies to the loan originator Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions and provide quotes as needed to offer superior customer service Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business Make outbound phone calls to prospects and clients as directed by the Loan Officer to maintain relationships and stay top-of-mind. What you will need to be successful: Prefer a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in mortgage lending preferably in a client-facing role Ability to work remotely Working knowledge of loan program guidelines including conventional, jumbo, and government loan programs Proficiency in DU/LP/GUS and/or other major LOS Ability to calculate income Strong verbal and written communication skills Creative problem solver with a positive attitude Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines Strong organization skills Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness along with the ability to demonstrate professionalism Ability to work full time, 40 hour a week schedule Ability to be registered and licensed appropriately through NMLS within 90 days of hire About us: Cornerstone Home Lending is a unique top 10 national home lender with a reputation of amazing service, customer satisfaction, on-time closings, employee retention, and happiness.
