Come be a part of our mission!Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - JEMINI based out of Colorado Springs, CO.What You'll get to Do:
  • Responsible for coordinating CDS design, implementation, test, certification and sustainment across Development, Test and Operations
  • Responsible for documenting, negotiating and maintaining Data Owner Guides (DOGs) and CDAs that capture the specific rules and configurations for all CDSs
  • Responsible for coordinating with the MDA, NAVY and LM Radiant Mercury office for contract scope, certification events and operational support
  • Responsible for coordinating with MDA Approval Authorities to document and address CDS design constraints and requirements
  • Responsible for leading the JEMINI CDS team Successful candidate will perform use case development, and prepare systems engineering artifacts including definition of Epics and Features under the direction of the JEMINI ART to be developed by program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer requested capabilities.
  • Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
  • Position will also provide use case development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department.Basic Qualifications:If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
    • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
    • 5 Years with Bachelor's degree in a related field; 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
    • A successful applicant should have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
    • Candidates should have experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
    • Candidates should have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
    • System Engineer primary duties will be to Design, update manage a Cross Domain Solution (CDS) to support multiple connections and classification to support mission efforts and goals.
    • Advanced knowledge of ports, protocols and interfaces.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Radiant Mercury experience strongly desired
      • Experience working within an Agile development environment.
      • Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense.
      • Experience with Systems Analysis.
      • Metric Development.

          Salary Range: 114300 - 171500

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
