Sustained Giving Funding Representative (Part-time), Development Department

Job Description:

The part-time (20 hours per week) Sustained Giving Funding Representative shall serve and shall fulfill the below job responsibilities in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

 

This position is responsible to make regular, personalized donor cultivation and stewardship contacts for the organization and Navigator staff leading to new monthly gifts, increased giving, and retained monthly giving.


Sustained Donor Acquisition                                                                                                                      10%

  • Offer monthly giving appeals to new Navigator donors or prospecting donors by phone, handwritten mail and email
  • Follow-up on giving decisions for newly appealed donors
  • Maintain individual’s portfolio of donor data in CRM
  • Maintain all action results per donor in the CRM

 

Donor Cultivation and Service                                                                                                                   80%

  • Cultivate and steward monthly partner relationships
  • Perform monthly partner welcome calls on a weekly basis
  • Provide outbound communication to update expiring credit card information of monthly partners
  • Develop and offer upgrade appeals to monthly partners by phone, handwritten mail, and email
  • Perform individual donor research online and via CRM tools to learn more about individual donors
  • Coordinate with Director of Sustained Giving on an ongoing basis to coordinate strategy
  • Maintain individual’s portfolio of donor data in CRM
  • Maintain all action results per donor in the CRM

 

Additional Responsibilities                                                                                                                         10%

  • Attend daily stand-up meetings and monthly department meetings
  • Additional job-related duties as assigned
  • Responsible for staying educated about the ministry
  • Participate in development events such as Navigator on-site events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Read spiritually and culturally developmental books and literature
  • Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
  • Submit expense report as needed, due the 15th of each month.

  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personally disciplined and goal-oriented
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Ministry mindset
  • Ability to manage time well
  • Prior ministry experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel required
  • Previous fundraising, marketing and/or sales experience preferred

 

Compensation Range: $18.91 - $23.64 hourly
