Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Document Management (DM) analyst to support Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) technical editing activities on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) program.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews documents submitted by engineers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and contract personnel for end consumer use, modifying as needed to ensure clarity and compliance in all project and program documents, including approximately 100 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables, such as briefings, technical reports, specifications, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinates with document authors and rewrites as needed to ensure technical documents are accessible and understandable to a non-technical audience. Leverages knowledge of customer, procedures and documents to confirm that documents are complete and logical, makes recommendations to improve this as necessary.
  • Reading and understanding Contract Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements.
  • Edits documents for grammar and linguistic errors. Responsible for creating locked down working templates for Engineers and Program Managers utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.
  • Communicates with document authors or project managers to ensure scheduled due dates are met and special handling requirements are understood to ensure on-time quality delivery.
  • Works independently, with a high degree of attention to detail, is trusted to enable on-time quality delivery of all required deliverable documents for multiple projects or proposals in a dynamic work environment.
  • Responsible for conducting all aspects of Documentation Management (DM) and data management for multiple projects.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing DM review cycle plans.
  • Establishes and manages internal review delivery dates, coordinates with the project manager for delivery of documents into the review process.
  • Properly marks classified documents with Distribution, Destruction, and Declassification Information, proper classified markings, and foreign disclosure statements


  • Master's Degree in English with 0-2 years of experience in a technical/DOD area OR a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with 4+ years of experience OR 6+ years with 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree
  • Document management experience
  • Experience with CDRLs (DD Form 1423), including formatting requirements, GEIA-859, and/or DoD 5010.12-M.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with MIL-STD-963C
  • Experience working with DoD, Air Force, and/or Commercial DM standards
  • Experience establishing DM controls, tracking monthly delivery status, developing delivery metrics, and performing technical editing to ensure deliverable template compliance, spelling/grammar, and readability
  • Experience with proper marking for DoD classified documents, foreign disclosure statements, and working in a classified environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under only minimal direction; have a high degree of attention to detail and be trusted to enable on-time quality delivery of all required deliverable documents for multiple projects in a dynamic work environment
  • Knowledge and experience with SharePoint are preferred
  • Ability to learn SW tools and develop expertise
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate flexibility in daily work

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $54000 - $100500 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
