Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of
manufacturing. Manufacturing interns must be accepted and enrolled
in FAME program with Pueblo Community College.
* This program requires the acceptance to the College & Math and
English ready test scores. * Pueblo FAME is an intense 5 semester
program and students must be academically prepared to meet the
education requirements. Students who did not meet the test score
requirements may still be eligible for the program by successfully
completing the prerequisites for MAC1105 or ENC1101 with a "C"
grade or above prior to the start of the first Semester. * Show up
EVERY day to work and school on time. Each sponsoring company will
have their own attendance policy, and it will be strictly enforced.
* Maintain a "C" grade or higher in ALL classes * Must be
professional and respectful at both work and school. * Remain 100%
illegal drug free during the program * Observe all safety rules and
practices specified while at Work and School

Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the
defense of our country. GDMS has an immediate opening for a
Manufacturing Engineering Intern (FAME) to join our team in our
Colorado Springs, CO location. The position provides an opportunity
to work on projects that support some of our nation's fundamental
defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed
customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out
high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on
various technical projects associated with our core mission. In

Your internship will include mentored assignments in some or all
of these areas:
* Analyze existing and new data to identify opportunity to
improve test process. * Utilize Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools
to identify high potential (top) opportunities. * Perform Risk
Assessments * Create project plans * Review and update assembly and
test procedures * Review/Update/Create Manufacturing Processes *
Design production fixturing * Justify/purchase Equipment
