What You’ll Do:

• Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Work from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
• 3-6 years’ experience building Cat5e/Cat6 cables and able to route cables in rack
• 3-6 years’ experience with proper cable and harness assembly techniques (wire cutting, stripping, cable prep and layup, connectorization, crimping, pinning, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, use of lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, testing, etc.)
• 1-2 years’ experience with military type cable assemblies
• Displayed comprehension of assembly practices and technologies
• Familiarity with assembly tools, processes, and terminology
• Ability to distinguish colors is required
• Technical knowledge of electronics and mechanical designs
• Ability to read and understand the customer schematics, drawings, parts list, wire run list, specifications, and assembly router for step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the wire harness and cable assembly
• Understanding of the application and functioning of test equipment
