Overview

Responsible for all facets of handling personal lines insurance placed with carriers other than California Casualty. Responsibilities include coverage counseling placement of coverage, servicing and renewal of business, agency billing, maintaining relationships with selected carriers and internal customers,, errors and omissions prevention, and information management.

We're seeking a seasoned professional to handle all facets of personal lines of insurance placed with carriers other than California Casualty. You'll apply your expertise to customer service, relationship management, database administration, sales, problem resolution and compliance functions. More detailed responsibilities include: handling new and renewal marketing, issuance and placement of insurance; providing account service for general maintenance of policies (risk assessment, loss analysis, etc.); maintaining account information; addressing and clarifying concerns with customers, providing explanations and ensuring resolutions; identifying and resolving potential operational errors and omissions; and performing other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

Key business qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of experience working with personal lines insurance coverage and related laws, codes, operations and regulations
  • Ability to perform risk, coverage and contract analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of personal lines markets
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in a constructive relationship with carriers
  • Insurance agency experience and CPCU, CIC, AAI ARM or equivalent knowledge (preferred)
  • Property and Casualty insurance license is preferred but not required

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $25.64 - $30.76 per hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. A quarterly pay for performance bonus is available with a range from $0-$1200 per quarter, based on both individual and team performance to include total policies sold, individual closing ratio and team call handling results. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company's performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal days.

Training hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm OR 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday. Hours after training will be 10:30am - 7pm Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays (3-4 per quarter) from 9am - 1pm.
