PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe Retail Account Management Service Associate processes core client requests in a timely and accurate manner while remaining within legal and FINRA guidelines. The Service Associate is required to be proficient in processing client transaction requests covering a range work streams and registrations. The Service Associate is generally responsible for being proficient and accurately processing client transactions in the New Account, Financial,Non-Financial skill sets in Mutual Funds and Brokerage. All associates will operate under the RAM performance agreements designed to meet or exceed client expectations.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Support: Processes client directed transactions for TRP Mutual Fund accounts and Brokerage accounts in a windows-based workstation in a timely and accurate manner to meet company standards for efficiency and effectiveness:

• Independently review transaction requests thoroughly to verify request is in "Good Order". Actions minimize any legal and/or financial risk to the organization and client.
• Interpret client requests when not provided with institutional paperwork
• Set-up New accounts, process ing financial and non-financial requests for TRP Mutual Fund Accounts and Brokerage Accounts.
• Enter all required information correctly - avoids typographical mistakes and omissions. Self-checks all work for accuracy before completing transaction to ensure all requests are processed completely and accurately the first time.
• Researches client/account history as necessary to complete production. Pulling together previously received documents to complete current requests when needed
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure transactions from different groups take place
• Makes outbound calls to clients in accordance with department policies and firm compliance rules to clarify intent and/or to obtain additional information required to complete transactions, while demonstrating proficiency in communications and client interaction skills.
• Proactively manages risk to the firm and to the client by closely following department policies and procedures. Checks with Supervisor for additional guidance and obtains appropriate approvals for any policy variations.
• The incumbent should stay current on all policy, procedures, news and current events so that they are better positioned to perform at their best.Business Support
  • Associates may (under direction of Supervisor) participate in department-wide or site specific projects. Associates are encouraged to build and maintain positive relationships with internal service groups and externally with customers.
  • Associates are expected to attend regularly scheduled team meetings and quarterly/annual department level business update meetings. Associates are also expected to support ongoing professional development through continuing education sessions and specific business processing trainings.QUALIFICATIONSRequired
