Description:Seeking applicants for a full-time position as Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, and some travel may be required.What You'll Get to Do: Report directly to the Software Team Lead, implementing the program's architectural approach across Agile development activities. Develop Agile Software releases through Scrum workflow while collaborating with weapon systems' chief engineers, multi-disciplined teams and internal and external stakeholders on technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, and the achievement of long-term Program goals Design and develop system architectures in UML using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to define behavioral architecture while generating viewpoints for the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) Advise internal and external stakeholders on Agile implementation in accordance with the program's Software Development Plan Support requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the weapon systems Author and peer review engineering documentation while ensuring technical quality, accuracy, and appropriate engineering rigor is applied Participate in project technical risk analysis and mitigation Converting Assembly language into C++ Requirements management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees Systems and end item requirements: elicitation, validation and verification Design: systems design, systems architecture, systems integration Decision Making: N2 analysis, trade studies, risk management, cost-risk-benefit analysisSkills:software engineering, JAVA, C++, assembly language, secret clearance, UML, Agile, model based systems engineering, MBSE, software architecture, coding, requirements gathering and analysisTop Skills Details:UML (Unified Modeling Language)Assembly language - will be converting Assembly to C++C++ developmentJAVA experienceAdditional Skills & Qualifications:SW2 Level: B.S. +9 years of experience, or Advanced Degree +7 years of experience**Must have an Active Secret clearance on day one!!
