Position: Detox Group Counselor Position Overview: Coordinates the treatment of clients assigned, develops treatment goals alongside the multi-disciplinary team, which may include the medical and clinical teams. Conducts individual, group and family therapy with assigned clients.Schedule: Full TimeCompensation: $58,000 - $65,000 based on licensed experienceEducation:* Minimum of a Masters Degree in a Behavioral Health Science required (clinical social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field)Training & Experience:* Licensed Practitioner in the state of Colorado (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)* Previous experience with substance abuse treatment is required; preferred experience with a treatment facility in the detox, or residential setting.* Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.Other Duties & Responsibilities of the Position* Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering with clients as we inspire and empower change* Assist Program Manager in the design, implementation, and management of the clinical program, running therapy sessions in group and individual formats, employing evidence-based treatment modalities for clients with substance abuse and clients struggling with a dual diagnosis (if applicable)* Adhere to all aspects of the clinical program's policies and procedures to ensure quality performance and assist the Program Manager in any quality improvements that may be necessary* Provide therapeutic services, including delivery of assessments, conducting treatment planning, and coordinate clinical treatment services with families as well as ensure timely documentation of treatment for the billing team. The Primary Therapist is responsible for all aspects of their allocated case's clinical documentation, timely entries into the treatment record, and maintaining compliance with standards for documentation* Participate in weekly clinical team meetings discussing treatment formulation, progress, regress and/or failure; lead discharge planning, discharge summaries, follow-up care and liaison communication* Conduct client utilization reviews and medical necessity discussions with insurance payers, if necessary* Assist in the recruitment of clinically competent and dual trained Mental Health / Substance Abuse clinicians to provide group and individual services to clients* Other duties as outlined in formal job description and as may be assigned
