Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldEngineering Tech IIDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe purpose of this position is to collect, analyze, and process facility inventory and assessment data for sustainment of USAFA infrastructure. Reviews infrastructure plans and programs and becomes familiar with the inventory/survey methodology, assessment criteria, and prioritization strategy necessary for preparation and updating of the plans and programs. Utilizing established standard operating procedures (Playbooks), conducts inventory, inspections, and assessment of existing facilities and infrastructure systems for preparation of plans and programs. Creates, reviews, and updates infrastructure databases with assessment/survey data gathered. Assists with the processing of AF Form 332. Assists Sub-AMP Managers in the management of their Activities and identification of projects. Assists with the development, analysis, and management of the preventative maintenance program. Assists in design review and modification and development of material and construction specifications for repair projects. Uses judgement and previous experience and training to recognize potential design flaws in repair projects. Perform testing and inspection of cathodic protection systems to ensure compliance and provide reports as required. Assists the utilities shops by providing guidance on maintenance of cathodic protection systems. Manages the Sub-AMP program for cathodic protection. Performs other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 4 years' of related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in engineering or construction to perform the duties of the position. Minimum of 1-year specialized experience conducting analysis and troubleshooting in the construction or maintenance field. Vocational/Technical training desired. Cathodic Protection Inspectors/Testers shall have current National Association of Corrosion Engineers Cathodic Protection Tester 1 certification. Ability to update, write clear comprehensive and informative reports from infrastructure computer databases. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret technical data. Perform recurring work independently with little or no additional instruction. Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, and kneel to perform assessments/data collection. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs. HS Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) required. Knowledge of work management computer programs like AWIMS, MAXIMO, AND BUILDER. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check. Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check. For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy.PERFORMANCE STANDARDSPerforms all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
