Purpose of Job We are currently seeking a talented Manager in Property Claims Operations for the Colorado Springs/Denver area. This position will lead a team of Property Field Adjusters who serve our membership in Colorado.

Manages auto, property, subrogation, and/or physical damage member service employees who are dedicated to knowing our members, understanding their individual needs, and providing appropriate solutions. Tasks:

Selects, develops, and supports employees in fulfillment of our Corporate Mission.

Through a variety of tools monitors and reviews workload to ensure that all compliance requirements are addressed appropriately, payments are accurate, that there is consistent execution of standardized automated processes, and properly manages the expenses associated with adjusting a claim.

Provides consistent coaching and guidance related to a variety of aspects associated to the claim including but not limited to the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, settlement, and subrogation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent  (NOTE:  2 or more years demonstrated leadership which may include people management experience in P&C Claims, Financial Services Industry, Customer Service Industry, or equivalent military service/environment AND actively enrolled in pursuing a degree may be substituted in lieu of a degree.)

6 or more years P&C industry functional work experience OR

4 or more years P&C experience plus military service experience OR

4 or more years P&C experience and 2 years prior customer service related experience OR

4 or more years P&C experience and a Manager Candidate School graduate.

Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license.

Ability to meet all USAA safe driving requirements including verification of driving record through MVR & possession of valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Property claims with Inside Operations and Field experience

In depth knowledge and experience in reviewing scope of damage and estimates for residential claims

Experience managing employees in an catastrophe environment to include ensuring equitable distribution of work and meeting Service Level

Objectives

2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience

Experience using and interpreting data to make decisions

Demonstrated leadership, initiative, customer service and/or claims handling skills
