We are currently seeking a Chief Estimator (Remote) to join our
team! The Chief Estimator will be responsible for handling projects
ranging in size from $2,000 to $3mil+ from bid to close out,
meeting with customers at job sites and scope reviews and
train/mentor others on the estimating standards and procedures and
oversee and manage the Estimating Department & Estimators.
As a Chief Estimator at Concepts, you will be required to:
Have a minimum of 10 years experience in millwork estimating and
15+ years (preferred) in construction and building industry.
Provide leadership, training and mentoring to the Estimating
Team and assist in reviewing estimates to ensure accuracy and
completeness in a remote environment.
Clearly communicate with customers in a timely manner (via phone
and/or email) to understand project requirements, goals and post
Work with custom millwork designs and create price-estimates by
conducting material take-offs and prepare time duration, material
cost, and labor cost estimates for projects.
Have an understanding of standard building construction methods
to include Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and
Qualifications Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Construction
Management, Accounting, Business or Mathematics related is
preferred (but not required).
Minimum (10) years’ experience in estimating (preferably
millwork, casework, metal, glass, stone and/or non-traditional
materials) and preferred (15) + years in construction and building
Previous experience in managing, training and/or mentoring
others in a remote environment is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and
Expert ability to read architectural blueprints and shop
drawings identifying all millwork items.
Strong understanding of millwork construction methods;
demonstrate continuous education to keep up with changing
