Aperio Global is hiring a Capture Manager to fill a senior position supporting Business Development for corporate operations. We seek qualified candidates to join our experienced and dedicated management team and take a growing company to the next level. This is an opportunity to start on the ground floor and participate in an aggressive growth strategy. Qualified candidates will have experience as a business developer, capture manager or a relevant role supporting wins in the federal space. This position requires excellent verbal and communication skills, motivation in the areas of BD and capture, prospecting skills, capture planning, identifying customer’s needs, closing skills, market knowledge, presentation skills, high energy level, ability to continually meet and exceed objectives, demonstrated professionalism, and a high level of integrity.

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic person with market knowledge of the federal space to help us expand our clientele and business base. The candidate will work alongside company leadership and must have the dedication to create and apply an effective capture strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through developing new business and forging strong relationships with clients and “competimates.”

This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits.

Responsibilities include:

Understand the company’s mission, vision, and strategy to assist in achieving long-term company goals.

Work with the internal team, teaming partners, and prospective clients to identify and capture opportunities to provide solutions to existing and potential new clients.

Lead the development of win strategy, including recruiting and selection of teaming partners, and support action steps for determination of solution.

Create innovative, compelling, and differentiated technical, management, and business solutions in line with customer needs and budget.

Develop win themes/discriminators in collaboration with technology, contracts, operations, and business development organizations.

Champion business pursuits and present gate reviews to senior leadership.

Understand customer’s technical environment within which solution will be implemented.

Build customer domain understanding and knowledge and lead collaboration with customer on potential solution.

Work with the team to develop proposals that address the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.

Establish and lead capture team activities from qualification through post submittal, working in partnership with the proposal manager.

Determine staffing needs and priorities of capture team for identifying and selecting key personnel.

Assess competitive marketplace, conduct competitive SWOT analyses, and lead black hat reviews.

Manage relationships with partners and subcontractors.

Drive the price-to-win strategy and participate in pricing the solution/service.

Ensure a fully integrated business solution with technical and management approaches.

Actively participate in proposal development business development planning.

Conduct ongoing research and use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Requirements include: Current Top Secret security clearance with polygraph.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT Management, Engineering, or related technical or business-related field.

1-3 years of experience successfully developing and/or capturing business with the federal government and/or military.

Experience successfully qualifying and capturing opportunities in multiple markets and submitting proposals that led to award.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport in diverse organizations.

Strong networking skills and experience building channels for working with government and/or military customers.

Hunter mentality and a drive to win with finding and closing deals in new markets.

Must have a proven track record using a structured capture process for solutions selling and winning in new markets.

Demonstrate a drive to win new business and achieve significant growth.

Must be a creative deal-closer with solution based selling background.

Demonstrate a track record of using a structured capture process to win contract opportunities.

Excellent closing skills and a track record of closing single award deals for new business.

Proficiency working across the MS Office Suite.

Excellent time management and planning skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Experience providing direct government customer support is a plus.

Diverse and expansive network of contacts in both government and industry organizations is desired.

Experience/knowledge of GovWin or other opportunity research tools is desired.

Availability to travel, as needed.
