Position Summary

Serve as a member of the President’s Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership, direction and oversight for the Association, primarily in the areas of analyzing complex business needs of the organization, developing and implementing strategies for new technology solutions, and managing the organization’s technology operation.

Development of and day-to-day oversight for the IT Strategic Business Plan

Collaborate and analyze complex business needs of the organization

Establish and implement priorities for ACSI’s changing technology needs

Define, implement and analyze budget and financial goals

Identify, hire and provide effectual leadership of IT staff

Strategic leadership for a comprehensive information technology operation that includes internal and external ACSI Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, database information, cloud applications platforms, website development, maintenance and support, network administration, telecommunications, virtual server platform, storage area network, and network and data security

resource availability and allocation for management of technology operations

develop and maintain technology standards, policies, and procedures

analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, work processes, and other metrics and needs

optimize care delivery, service quality, and business performance to meet or exceed user expectations and ensure highest levels of information security

optimize understanding and use of Microsoft Office 365 Cloud suite and other tools throughout organization

Strategic leadership for software applications support

resource availability and allocation for management of software application support

collaborate with internal clients and IT staff on business needs to select, implement, support, and integrate technology solutions that fit their business environment

direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives

oversee testing for new and modified applications and software

Strategic leadership for managing data and reporting

understand current data and assess what additional data collection and storage may be required; ensure data integrity

oversee consistent, timely, accurate reporting/dashboard to further organization goals in data-based decision making

Strategic leadership for technology procurement and vendor relationships

develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers

assist with negotiating contracts

serve as a liaison between users and vendor operations and programming staff in areas of system design, modifications, or trouble shooting

Strategic leadership for business continuity and disaster recovery programs for information and telecommunications systems and cybersecurity

identify risks and vulnerabilities

design, implement, and test standards, processes, and systems

manage and coordinate actions in an emergency

facilitate IT security audits and investigations

Provide a relevant and forward-thinking voice to the senior leadership and ACSI Board of the Association regarding technology

research and development of new and innovative content delivery methods including digital content and additional platforms when considering educational best practices

stay abreast of new advancements and identify strategic approaches for implementation

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Spiritually the ideal candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect

a demonstrated acceptance without reservation of the ACSI Statement of Faith

a strong, clear Christian testimony, acknowledging Christ as Savior and seeking to live as His disciple

a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his/her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others

a mature, godly spirit

a Christian role model (Luke 6:40) in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. (This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct.)

a person of faith and prayer

a broad acceptance of and by the evangelical Christian community

a strong knowledge and understanding of Scripture

an active participation in a local Bible-believing church

willingness to enroll K-12 school-aged children in a local Christian School

Required Experience and Education

Seven to ten years of experience in information technology

Three or more years of proven supervisory experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; degree requirement may be offset by additional years of highly relevant work experience

Effective and steady leadership in a highly deadline-driven work environment

Ability to think strategically about technology and how to incorporate it into the business units and processes to increase efficiencies

Proven ability to assess business and end-user needs and implement solutions

Strong verbal and written communication skills including effective public speaking skills

Ability to discuss IT operations and requirements effectively with both technical and non-technical staff

Experience with and functional understanding of Customer Relationship Management software or Enterprise Resource Planning software (Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred)

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Cloud suite (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams); Microsoft Windows Server; and Microsoft Windows 10

Experience with phone systems (VOIP and PSTN technologies)

Basic understanding or experience with most or all of the following: Domain Name Service; virtual server platforms (VMWare preferred); Server/SAN backup systems; SANs (Dell EqualLogic preferred); network administration and security

Experience with Web programming specifically (PHP preferred)

Experience with SQL queries preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% by plane or automobile

Driver’s License required to be kept current and in effect as a condition of employment

Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear

Essential duties require the use of computers to process information

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms

Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read at close range and distinguish colors and contrasts

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
