Company: Superior Farms Location: Denver, Colorado Reports To:
Operations Manager & General Manager Job Type: Full-time, on site |
Shifts Available: First shift Compensation: $73,000 - $75,000 per
year DOE A day in this role You arrive to the harvest floor and
start with a quick safety huddle—aligning the team on targets for
throughput, yield, and quality. You review staffing levels, adjust
placements to optimize the line, and verify that all equipment is
ready. A production variance in the morning prompts you to coach a
lead, update the schedule, and implement a corrective action. By
midday, you’re meeting with the Operations Manager to align on
budgets and forecasts, and by afternoon you’re analyzing
productivity and safety reports, updating departmental goals, and
ordering supplies to stay ahead of demand. Throughout the day,
you’re switching fluidly between English and Spanish to guide,
train, and motivate the team while ensuring USDA, FDA, EPA, and
OSHA standards are met. What you’ll lead Provide clear direction,
coaching, training, and development to harvest department
employees; foster strong communication across the floor. Serve as
an active member of the management team, handling additional duties
at the direction of the Operations Manager and General Manager. Own
production scheduling: set work schedules, departmental targets,
and performance expectations for people and output. Oversee full
supervisory scope—hiring, performance management, discipline,
development, resource planning, and training. Build, manage, and
report on departmental budgets and production forecasts. Develop,
analyze, and present reports on forecasts, productivity, and safety
performance. Coordinate workflow management, labor scheduling, and
employee placement to meet or exceed facility and company goals.
Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot production issues and
ensure robust corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
Manage procurement of supplies and equipment for the department.
Use problem-solving, team-building, process control, and continuous
improvement tools to achieve key operating metrics. Plan and track
throughput and efficiency; take timely action to protect quality
and hit volume commitments. Implement and uphold safety standards
required by law and company policy. Ensure compliance with
regulatory bodies including USDA, FDA, EPA, and OSHA.
Qualifications You consistently deliver results while maintaining
high safety and quality standards. You’re comfortable leading
people, data, and processes in a dynamic harvest environment and
can switch between English and Spanish with ease. Bilingual
(English/Spanish) required. Able to read/interpret safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures; write
routine reports; present to small groups; and respond to sensitive
inquiries. High school diploma or GED required. 3 years of relevant
experience and/or training in meat processing or related
operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HACCP Certification required. Minimal travel; strong
professionalism and discretion handling confidential matters; adept
at multitasking and working effectively with all levels. Work
environment Expect occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions,
moving mechanical parts, and work at heights or around
fumes/airborne particles. Temperatures vary; noise is typically
moderate. Benefits ESOP Shares 401(k) match Dental, Health, and
