Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Litigation Associate Attorney Location: Lakewood, Colorado Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join a well-established litigation practice group. This role is designed for an attorney who can confidently manage complex cases from intake through resolution, maintain strong client relationships, and deliver high-quality legal work in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a diverse litigation caseload that may include insurance defense matters and plaintiff and defense litigation involving a range of claims, often related to breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, FHAA complaints, covenant enforcement, judicial foreclosures, and other real estate-related matters. Key Responsibilities Manage district court cases (and some county and administrative matters) through all phases, including evaluation, intake, discovery, settlement, trial, and appeal Conduct legal research and produce strong written work product Respond to client inquiries and provide updates on case status Meet with clients as necessary Participate in firm business development activities Maintain consistent and on-time attendance Qualifications and Skills Active license to practice law in Colorado Seven to ten years of district court trial experience and/or insurance defense background Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels High initiative and foresight in completing assigned projects Excellent grammar, spelling, editing, writing, and verbal skills Strong attention to detail, ability to establish priorities, and meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle competing demands Strong computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Knowledge of Practice Master or other client management software preferred Knowledge of NetDocuments or other document management software preferred Portable book of business is a plus English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing ADA Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time Must be able to focus on a computer screen for multiple hours at a time
