Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) was selected by the U.S.
Missile Defense Agency to participate on the Missile Defense
National Team. This team was chartered to develop a Ballistic
Missile Defense System for the United States. Missile Defense and
Protective Systems (MDPS) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission
Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile
defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and
Communications (C2BMC), simulation & modeling, systems engineering,
and target discrimination.
We are seeking highly qualified candidates for a Cybersecurity
Administrator. This role will be responsible for the Security
Administration of the Development & Integration (DI) and System
Infrastructure (SI) lab environments. This includes the following
regularly scheduled tasks:
- Daily troubleshooting of issues related to Cyber; Interfacing
with LM ISSO/DSS Rep
- Weekly updating of Dat files and ACAS plugins; Reviewing
Security Logs; Monitoring the system (e.g., User accounts, User
activity, Software installations, System changes) for ArcSight, TFA
- Monthly scanning of systems/networks and reviewing scan
- Quarterly installing of new IA Release; Supporting SMR
Verification; Updating software/firmware on servers and
- As-needed assisting with Auditing and accrediting of new
systems; Developing software policy updates
In addition, this position will assist with the installation and
configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS up to
the applications. Provide documentation and verification of all
installation and configuration steps is part of daily tasks.
Collaborate with developers and/or vendors as needed to help
diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found while
maintaining servers and workstations. Submit problem reports for
errors discovered to the Program Lab CCB.
The successful candidate will have:
- Administrator experience installing, testing and configuring
vulnerability fixes to Windows and Unix/Linux platforms is
- Working knowledge of Information Assurance policies and
procedures as they apply to lab management is required
- Basic network knowledge to include routers, switches and
firewalls is required
- The ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex
concepts, issues, and status is necessary
Occasional travel to Huntsville, AL may be necessary.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 3 or more years
of experience. 1 years with Master's degree. Experience may be
substituted for degree.
Active Secret clearance to start
Current IAT - Level II DoDI 8570 certification or higher required
to start (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or
RHEL administrator tasks related to Unix/Linux server platforms is
Windows administrator tasks related to Windows workstation
platforms is required
User experience with administrating Cyber SIEM, Multi-factor and
Host-based technologies (e.g. ArcSight, Splunk, TFA, HBSS) is
Hands on experience with Python and Powershell scripting is
VMWare systems administration and configuration is desired.
