Software Engineer to join our team supporting our Sustainment and
Modification of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program. The position is
based at our facility in Colorado, Springs.This role will work in
an Agile environment and be a software developer supporting the
Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS).
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications
software and systems that contain logical and mathematical
solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates
with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning,
design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing
systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer
user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on
program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition,
programming techniques and controls; prepares operating
instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers,
utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards
are met.Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to,
the following:Software Model-Based Design using Cameo, Rational, or
similar productWrite scripts (bash) to move data between components
and will often have to debug a disconnected system (data cannot be
moved off)Write parsers to translate binary data into standard
formatsDevelop code and logic to send/receive JMS messages to
start/stop processors executionDebug and troubleshoot at a system
levelPerform analysis on systems to determine bottlenecks and
latency issuesQuickly prototype potential solutions by coding logic
in C/C++Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree with 9 years of
related experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of related
experience; 13 or more years of experience may be considered in
lieu of a degreeMust have Active/Current DoD Secret security
clearance or higher to be considered; must have the ability to
obtain a DoD Top Secret ClearanceExperience directing the design,
implementation, and verification of real-time embedded
softwareExperience with Linux and C/C++ programmingDemonstrated
experience with direct control of hardware devices and
registersDemonstrated ability to solve complex software development
or integration issues using innovative solutionsExperience with
project management utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile
software development processPreferred QualificationsBachelor's
degree in STEMJava, and MATLAB experienceParallel Programming
backgroundDemonstrated experience in MBSEExperience with Agile
development and continuous integration and testDemonstrated ability
to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and
develop efficienciesPrevious in-depth domain knowledge of program
software design and codeThis position's standard work schedule is a
9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.As a
