Summary: RTL seeks a highly skilled Agile Software Engineer to support the Combined Orbital Operations, Logistics, and Resiliency (COOLR) team in Colorado Springs in solving challenges supporting our customer's mission of delivering and sustaining reliable Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) capabilities to America's warfighters and allies.



Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Design and develop Cybersecurity tools to increase the resiliency and monitoring of the AEHF ground segment.
  
• Identify, develop, and implement resilient countermeasures to reduce risk to the enterprise.
  
• Work in an Agile development environment and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and artifacts.
  
  
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  
  
  • 
    
  • Experience with Windows and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu)
    
  • Solid understanding of Linux Enterprise solutions such as centralized authentication and Infrastructure as Code
    
  • Solid understanding of Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk Enterprise
    
  • Basic understanding of VMWare architectures
    
  • Security+ certification
    
  • Must possess at minimum Active Interim Secret Security Clearance
    
  • Must have an advanced degree and 7+ years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience or equivalent
    
    
    
    
    Desired Skills:
    
    
    
    
    • 
      
    • Experience with Python, Bash, Ruby, and git source control
      
    • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including containerization or CI/CD
      
    • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or InSpec
      
    • Knowledge of Agile development practices
      
    • Extensive experience in the defensive cyber domain using tools such as Snort/Surricata, Zeek, or Wireshark
      
    • Experience with Cisco network device configuration
      
    • Experience in space, ground, and satellite vehicle architectures
      
    • Broad background in information security tools, concepts, and issues across a range of technologies
      
    • Familiar with secure information system design and architecture

        Security Clearance: This position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
