Position Description
Kinder Morgan, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies
in North America, is looking for IT Application Developer

candidate will join an application development team that
specifically focuses on business systems supporting the operations
of Kinder Morgan. As an Operational Support Group (OSG) IT team
member, you will be working for one of the largest energy
infrastructure companies in North America. The OSG Engineering
(Eng) and Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Systems application
team develops and supports many custom solutions for use by
operations on approximately 84,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline,
crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 150
terminals for storing and handling various chemicals and other
products.On the OSG Engineering and Environmental Health Safety
Systems application team, you will develop custom software
solutions, support 3rd party solutions, build relationships with
key company users, and be afforded opportunities for taking
responsibility and ownership of these solutions. A successful
candidate will also engage in challenging assignments with
opportunities for growth in their career. * Support existing
Engineering and Environmental Health Safety applications and work
on projects for developing new technical solutions by utilizing
technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.* Enhance,
develop applications, and manage new projects mostly based on
VB.NET and C#.NET technology to support the business in the OSG
area.* Interact with internal customers (Right-of-Way/Land Lease,
Underground Gas Storage, Drafting, Pipeline Integrity, Gas
Liquefaction) and external application providers to analyze
business needs, develop & implement solutions, train customers, and
maintain the applications.* Work with other developers, create &
manage project plans, estimates and maintain documentation. The
position will report directly to the Manager of Application
Development.
Position Requirements
Education Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in IT, Information
Systems, or similar discipline is preferred.
Skill/Ability/Experience Requirements:* 3 to 7 Years of work
experience using Microsoft technologies in an application
development environment.* Extensive experience in using SQL to
write and maintain complex business solutions.* Configuration,
enhancement, and customization of the business systems application
primarily based on MVC, VB.NET, and C#.NET
technologies, including API/Web services.* Proficiency in all
aspects of the .NET application model, specifically the
presentation, business, and data access (SQL Server) layers.* Must
be fluent in .NET framework environment (C# / VB. NET / ASP. NET /
MVC), SQL server data management.* Experience in the Project life
cycle, Design, Development, Testing, Migrations, and
Implementations.* Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated
ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in
writing.* Experience working on multiple assignments during the
same time frame and juggling tasks based on relative priorities
with supervision
commensurate with grade level.* Uses time effectively and
efficiently; team player who values input of others and strives to
solve problems for the good of all.* Can represent own interests
and yet be sensitive to others; is cooperative and encourages
collaboration.* Experience in Crystal reporting, SSIS, SSAS, and
SSRS is a plus.* PowerBI experience and knowledge of CDC is a
plus.* Having Liquids or Gas Industry experience is a plus.
Pay range: $66,000 - $106,100 per year. This position includes a
discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate
with experience and skill set. Kinder Morgan, Inc. offers employees
