Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Software Engineer
- Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located at the Schriever Space Force Base in
Colorado Springs, CO.Position Overview:The selected Software
Engineer will support the Command and Control, Battle Management,
and Communications (C2BMC) program. As member of the Engineering
Support team within the C2BMC Nation Team (NT), you will be
responsible for functioning within a merged team that supports
System Test stakeholders and Performance Assessment
stakeholders.Essential Functions:
- Support the C2BMC National Team (NT) in support of analysis of
missile tracking data in the C2BMC Test Bed (CTB) at Schriever
Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado and in town at a Lockheed Martin
(LM) facility.
- Will be a part of a focused technical team which uses event
created test data to verify and validate metrics, statistics and
descriptive analysis of test data from Missile Defense
Systems.
- Will be responsible for developing tools and the processes
associated to creating tools that allow validation of expected
system behavior.
- Will be use Agile practices to manage work load and deliver
products. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work
environment with high expectations, significantly diverse
assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university
and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM
discipline and 0 years of related experience.
- Experience developing software in object-oriented programming
languages such as C, C++, or Java.
- Ability to possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or
higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) within
60 days of employment.
- Ability to develop software tools (using Java and Python) to
evaluate software, algorithms and processes used by the Analysis
Team.
- Ability to develop software application extensions and tools
for other analysts on the team so the ability to clearly
communicate and collaborate is essential.
- Ability to troubleshoot and understand the underlying event
message structures will help create tools that fully meet the
analyst's requirements.
- Basic understanding of DoD and missile defense system concepts
and mission and be able to learn quickly common system test and
data analysis techniques.
- Experience with object-oriented software, specifically Python
and Java Experience with the Linux environment Experience in the
use of software test and analysis tools
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business
needs.
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret
security clearance is required to start.Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or
related field.
- Bash or similar scripting experience.
- Experience in manipulation of large data sets.
- Development and automation of processes and tools.
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret
security clearance. Salary Range: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
