Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Launch and Missile Defense Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer level 4 or 5 based out of Colorado Springs, CO or Boulder, CO.

You will be responsible for high-level design, software development, and system integration of algorithm solutions. Development is performed at all levels of the system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. This ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
--- Coordinates with development and test teams to perform integration and resolve defects with improvement recommendations
--- Drives the engineering process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives within their program
Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 4 - 9 Years with BS; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
  • Level 5 - 14 Years with BS; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
  • Experience working in a Linux development environment
  • Applied C/C++ development experience
  • Experience working with legacy software and modernization efforts.
  • Experience or familiarity with state estimation and tracking algorithms
  • Experience with legacy software baselines and modernization efforts to include services, containers and Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline
  • DoD Secret Clearance or Higher
  • Ability to travel on occasion to Northrop Grumman and customer locations Preferred Qualifications:
    --- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Development

    Salary Range: $14,100 USD - $188,300 USD
    Salary Range 2: $141,400 USD - $233,400 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
