What does an exceptional Software Test Engineer do?As a Software Test Engineer, you will be a part of a small but growing team of hardworking people that are the primary driver for raising the quality of our products and services. Drive quality and excellence through a detailed and relentless approach to automation. Our primary clients are Restaurants, Quick Service, and Sports and Entertainment venue host systems. Our environment consists of modern APIs, microservices, web applications, android applications, third-party services integrations, cloud infrastructure, and legacy APIs.The SETI (Software Engineering for Test Infrastructure) team is responsible for testing the Clover SDKs and ensuring that our integrators and developers have a reliable platform for their products. Our robot lab has 20 custom-built robots running automated test suites. The team uses automation frameworks to verify the various payment flows supported on Clover devices in combination with the application SDKs that drive the payments.As a Software Test Engineer, you can look forward to:Executing manual and automated regression tests.Diagnosing failures across a complex integration environment.Working with development to scope and test new features.Writing test plans and test cases.Coordinating with distributed testing teams to ensure release deadlines are met.Creating automated tests that drive lab robots and troubleshooting existing testsIdentifying features that can be automated and helping develop strategies for automation.Creating and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and jobs to manage automation tasks.Identifying testing gaps and strategies for filling those gaps.Developing, updating, and executing software test plans.Planning and carrying out performance, load, and stress tests.Participating in design, architecture, and code reviews.Maintaining and creating CI/CD automation pipelines.Maintaining a robotics lab that uses a variety of Linux and WIndows based software solutions.The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors required. -2-5 years of QA and/or Software Development experience.Experience testing REST API calls. - -Experience in writing SQL queries (preferably MySQL).Strong understanding of REST and JSON.Experienced with Windows and LinuxExperience with defect tracking tools such as JIRAExperience with source code repositories (preferably git)Experience with Jenkins pipelinesPreferred Qualifications:Experience testing for all layers of android and third-party SDKs.Experience with Android SDK tools such Android Studio.Strong understanding of software/testing methodologies.Experience with implementing continuous integration and delivery concepts (CI/CD) using Jenkins.Hands-on experience in point-of-sale tools hardware and software.Experience with mobile payments and architectureProficiency with at least one modern object-oriented programming language.
