All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:At Lockheed Martin, the Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for the overall execution of the C2BMC Engineering Support (ES) Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE directly supports and works closely with the ES ART Product Manager (PM) to facilitate program level processes, execution, drive continuous development and improvement, manages risk and mitigates and/or escalates impediments (as appropriate).The RTE will coach the associated ART members in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).In this role you will be expected to provide alignment for and establish boundaries and constraints to enable self-organizing agile teams within the ART, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Specific duties include:- Assist ART Product Owners, Scrum Masters and PM and coordinate with other program RTEs to achieve program technical commitments including technical execution, maintain schedules and budgets- Lead Agile Release (Iteration Planning) to include developing Acceptance Criteria for ART Features, identifying and understanding dependencies, and coordinating with other ART RTEs, Solution Train Engineers (STE) and customers- Assist with proposal and engineering estimate development- Interface with customers using excellent verbal and written skills to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders and team membersThe Agile RTE is the owner of the ART's processes, process execution, change management and must ensure agile processes are executed appropriately. You will be accountable to the ART PM and other program managers and leaders for ensuring overall program process execution.Additionally, you will collect, analyze, make use of and report Agile metrics for the ART. Also, facilitate agile ceremonies to include Iteration Planning, Retrospectives and demonstrations.The RTE will work closely with product team Scrum Masters to ensure teams are operating efficiently and effectively, making improvements and keeping all JIRA and Agility data current.Some additional responsibilities include:- Be accountable to the ART to facilitate removal of impediments, improve communications and provide status within and outside of the ART- Drive and make technical decisions for the iteration- Manage Iteration Execution and patches with solution release managers- Provide direction to team on need dates, manage Scrum of Scrum and ART technical meetings- Ensure ES is ready and supporting TIMs, IETRs, CDRs and other technical reviews with senior program management and customers by coordinating and reviewing material- Attend sprint demos from product teams, remove tasks from the PO's plates by having a level of technical knowledge of the work being performed to address questions, know current status and resolve blockersBasic Qualifications:*Must currently have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position*Must have the following:- Experience with Agile Methodologies- Experience decomposing Agile epics and features to user stories with clear acceptance criteria- Outstanding time management skill and attention to details- Strong written and verbal communication and an ability to present technical information to a variety of both technical and non-technical audiences in a concise manner- An understanding of The Scrum Guide- Experience developing design documentation in operational concepts, defining use cases, defining requirements, designing interfaces, and designing architectures for major program development programsMust have the ability to:- Triage scrum team issues, prioritize, determine impact, assess risk, overcome blockers, and ensure release milestones are met- Represent program priorities and set priorities for the team (not necessarily the same)- Identify dependencies within or outside the Engineering Support (ES) Agile Release Train (ART)- Review detailed planning from Product Teams and establishing a cohesive release plan for the ART- Guide the team through release development and track progress against the release plan- Prioritize defects assigned to the ART and ensure the backlog is worked offDesired Skills:- Experience with development tools such as JIRA and Agility (formerly known as Version ONE) or other Agile management tools- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment and/or Agile Coaching experience- Agile Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)- Project Management and Control Account Management (CAM) experience- Experience and understanding of the system development lifecycle- System Test Modeling and Simulations, Requirements development- Experimentation and Prototyping experience- An understanding of C2BMC end-to-end system performance, functionality, or capabilities- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous DeliveryHere are some of the benefits you can enjoy:--- Medical (some LM locations have on-site medical)--- Dental--- 401(k) with generous matching--- Paid time off including, (we have a 4x10 schedule which means: 52 three-day weekends!)--- Generous Tuition ReimbursementLearn more about our competitive and comprehensive benefits package:https://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/working-here#benefitsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
