Other duties may be assigned.This is a 12 month contract engagement on-site in Colorado Springs, CO. Salary and benefits are offered during the duration of the contract (medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, etc.). 9/80 work schedule offered. Take every other Friday off!Syncroness is seeking a Space Software IPT Lead to drive development of applications that simulate scenarios for the U.S. Space Force, in support of training the next generation of space control operators. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and simultaneously provide value to a program that enables Space Force to stay ahead of and remain well protected against its adversaries. Syncroness needs an engineer with experience and the ability to oversee technical execution, cost, and schedule for complex software development. Lead and/or participate in the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones.Leading a large, multi-discipline team through the entire development lifecycle.Development of engineering practices driving efficiency and quality improvements.Conducts architecture oversight with the Chief Software Engineers and Chief Systems Engineers on each program.Mentoring and coaching engineers in design, development, and execution.Translating design requirements and workflows into a working product in an iterative environment.Education/ExperienceBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.5+ years leading software-centric and/or multi-discipline engineering teams.5+ years of experience of Java and/or C++ development.Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipeline cost and schedule managementDesired skillsSatcom fundamentals and ground-based satcom programming experience.Experience with modern JavaScript React frameworksExperience in server-side and client-side testing.Experience with various DBMS technology (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)Experience with webservices or API.Experience working in Linux with a background in administering servers.Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Make, Conan, etc.).Experience gathering and reporting quality and productivity metrics.Satcom fundamentals and ground-based satcom programming experience.Salary Range: $140K -$200KNote: Due to nature of work, only US Persons (citizens or permanent residents) need apply for this position.PM20PI174233614SDL2017
