Description of Duties: The Junior Software Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Support the Ballistic Missile Defense System Support (BMDSS) organization at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), Schriever AFB. Be responsible for performing activities focused on the configuration and operation of a wide range of test stimulus and monitoring tools, to include a major Linux-based simulation system and various tactical message injection and monitoring systems (both Windows and UNIX based). Develop software libraries and tools to support message recording, playback and data manipulation, automation, and troubleshooting. Be responsible for feeding data to various test bed Lab Suites in support of lab checkouts and mission event support. The successful candidate will: Be able to quickly adapt to new situations and short deadlines. Have a strong commitment to a team environment. Demonstrate the capacity to work unsupervised. Be willing to learn new technologies Primary duty hours fall within core support hours of 0800-1600, Monday - Friday as scheduled, but will periodically work night, weekend and extended hours as dictated by a team rotating schedule to support customer requirements, troubleshooting, testing, and event support. This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO This position is expected to pay $67,800 - $108,450 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
